The Flaming Lips Are Covering Dark Side of the Moon

The Flaming Lips are covering Pink Floyd's classic The Dark Side of the Moon, in its entirety.  They're gonna perform it, and they've already recorded it.  The cover album gets released on iTunes next week (December 22).

I'm not sure this is such a good idea.  The Flaming Lips are great, and I loved Embryonic, but covering Dark Side could go very, very wrong.  It's a lot to live up to.  How do you improve upon, or even match, such a legendary album?  It seems foolish for anyone to try.  But I'll be curious to give this is a listen when it comes out.
