Now this was a cool surprise! Death From Above 1979 (DFA 1979 if you hate words, but like acronyms and numbers) have announced they are reuniting to play Coachella, that music festival they have out there in California.
Death From Above 1979 are a duo featuring only bass and drums, and they made kick-ass rock music with those 2 instruments. They released one great album called You're A Woman, I'm A Machine, and then they were never heard from again...until now, that is.
I hope that DFA 1979 will actually stick together and record new songs, and this isn't just a Rage Against The Machine style 'we'll play a festival and that will be that' type of reunion. You don't have enough material to coast on, dudes!
