Dave Sitek, guitarist for TV on the Radio, Maximum Balloon mastermind, and producer extraordinaire, is working on the new Jane's Addiction record, playing bass. Holy shit! Sounds like a very interesting pairing.
Honestly, this news doubles my interest in the new Jane's record. I've been a huge fan of Jane's - Nothing Shocking and Ritual de lo Habitual are classics. I wasn't expecting too much from a new record though. Sitek's involvement gives me hope this could actually turn out to be a great record. We shall see.
The new album from Jane's is scheduled to drop this summer.
