Earlier this week we got an official statement from The White Stripes announcing their demise. Now we've got the opposite from Death From Above 1979 - an official statement on their reunion.

We know that DFA1979 are reuniting for California music festival Coachella. Not much is known beyond that. The statement doesn't have any further details, but at least suggests this is more than a one-off show. Come to NY for a show at least!
"Jesse and I have decided that what we can do together should not be denied...thank you all for sharing in our excitement!"
So to summarize the 'state of play':
- Wolf Parade go from 'active' to 'indefinite hiatus'
- The White Stripes go from 'indefinite hiatus' to 'broken up for good'
- DFA1979 go from 'indefinite hiatus' to 'active'
